Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all users of the Service, including team leaders, team members, watchers, and visitors to workcheck.app. If you are an employee of an organisation that uses WorkCheck, your employer may have additional privacy practices that apply to their use of your data within WorkCheck.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — name, email address, phone number, organisation, role, and password hash.
• Task content — titles, descriptions, deadlines, assignees, attachments, comments, and status changes that you or your team create inside the Service.
• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, and device or browser metadata.
• Communications — support requests, survey responses, and messages you send to us via email, chat, or WhatsApp.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• Authenticate users and keep accounts secure;
• Send task-related notifications by in-app, email, and WhatsApp;
• Respond to support requests and improve the Service;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues;
• Comply with legal obligations.

We share information only as described below:

• Within your organisation — tasks and related content are visible to members of your organisation who have been granted access.
• Service providers — we use vetted subprocessors for cloud hosting, analytics, email and WhatsApp delivery, and customer support. Each is bound by confidentiality and data protection terms.
• Legal — when required to comply with applicable law, a lawful government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WorkCheck, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.

We use a small number of essential cookies (for authentication and security) and aggregate analytics cookies that help us understand how the Service is used. You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings, but parts of the Service may not function correctly without them.

We retain account and task data for as long as your organisation has an active WorkCheck account. When an account is deleted, we remove or anonymise personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal or accounting obligations or to resolve disputes.

Subject to applicable law (including Indian and UAE data protection rules), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@workcheck.app with the subject “Privacy Request”. We will respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials confidential.

WorkCheck is operated from India and the UAE. Your information may be processed in either country, as well as by subprocessors located elsewhere. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.

WorkCheck is a business product intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
